If you don’t have an emergency roadside kit in your vehicle yet then it is about time that you got one. You can throw one together in just a few minutes and it could save your life one day.
You should pack useful items like bottled water, nonperishable foods and warm blankets. You should also have a flashlight and batteries, cell phone and charger, tow rope, and jumper cables. You can also add flares, reflective triangles, a collapsible shovel, and anything else that would help you out in the area that you drive in.

If you have poisonous snakes in your area, you might want to add a snake bite kit to your emergency stash. If you are in a rainy season, you may want to pack rain ponchos or an umbrella. It’s better to have more things than you need than not enough or to be missing something important.
